Active substance

The active substance 1 g of cream contains 5 mg of hydrocortisone acetate (Hydrocortisoni acetas).
Excipients with known effect: cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate and propyl parahydroxybenzoate.

Indications

Hydrocortisonum Aflofarm Rx cream is indicated for topical application :
- to treat atopic dermatitis (allergic eczema, urticaria);
- to treat lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, SLE);
- to treat erythema multiforme (EM);
- to treat lichen planus (LP) accompanied by severe itchy rash;
- to treat seborrheic dermatitis;
- in the treatment of various forms of eczema, especially lichenoid eczema;
- to treat scalp psoriasis, long-term psoriasis;
- to treat prurigo;
- concurrently in maintenance treatment with strong glucocorticosteroids;
- to treat I°(first) and II°(second) degree burns (including solar burns);
- to soothe and ease insect bites.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity reaction to hydrortisone acetate or to any of the excipients.
- Bacterial, viral or fungal infections.
- Acne vulgaris.
- Rosacea.
- Dermal Atrophy (Necrotising Fasciitis).
- Dermal neoplasia and preneoplastic conditions.
- Dermatitis perioralis.
- Skin tuberculosis.
- Open wounds and broken skin.
- Concomitant systemic mycosis.
