Aflofarm Farmacja Polska, through the “We Love Pabianice” foundation launched thanks to the initiative of Grażyna and Andrzej Furman, has donated specialized rehabilitation beds to the Pabianice Rehabilitation Center operating within the Pabianice Medical Center (PCM). Their total value amounts to PLN 140,000. For many years, the company has been actively supporting the medical facilities operating in the region, amongst many others.

The donation of beds to PCM constituted continuation of the charity campaign initiated during the Senatorial Charity Ball co-organized by the Foundation in January this year, during which money was collected for the Pabianice Rehabilitation Center. Around PLN 50,000 was collected at that time. Aflofarm decided to supplement the missing amount and provide the “We Love Pabianice” foundation with funds for the purchase of equipment necessary for the daily rehabilitation of patients.

- We value the work of specialists employed in the hospital of the Pabianice Medical Center and have been providing support to the facility for over 20 years. We would like them to be able to work in the best conditions, which will translate directly into the comfort of patients, which we care about very much. That is why this time we decided to provide the Pabianice Rehabilitation Center with 58 new, specialized beds, adding to the sum collected during the January ball  – Andrzej Furman, President of the Board at “We Love Pabianice” Foundation.

- Patients stay in our ward for a long time, from three weeks to even up to four months on average. Therefore, beds are from our perspective an extremely important element of equipment. New beds can be adjusted and placed in a position that allows easy care of patients. On the one hand, it facilitates the work of our staff, on the other hand, it increases the comfort of patients. Mattresses that were already worn out and patient cabinets were replaced as well. The ward itself has been renovated. This is a big change for us  – Marek Kiljański, MD PhD, Head of the Pabianice Rehabilitation Center.

Aflofarm provided Pabianice Medical Center with support for the first time more than 20 years ago. Last year it equipped, among others, the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, providing it with free specialist medical equipment worth about PLN 600,000, and the Urology Department, by transferring funds for the purchase of a holm laser.

The “We Love Pabianice” Foundation was founded in November 2011 thanks to the initiative of Grażyna and Andrzej Furman, the founders of Aflofarm Farmacja Polska Sp. z o.o. Its mission is to serve and help meet the expectations of the residents of the city. The Foundation implements projects aimed at helping to organize cultural and sporting events, protecting monuments and cultivating greenery in public places. Since its launch, the foundation has implemented almost 100 projects, thus actively contributing to the development of Pabianice.
