Specialized equipment worth over half a million zlotys, including cardiomonitors, ultrasound, bronchofiberoscope or bronchoscope were delivered on Wednesday at the Intensive Care Unit of the Pabianice Medical Center. The devices were donated by the "My Kochamy Pabianice" foundation, founded on the initiative of Aflofarm. The official delivery of the equipment took place on 29 June. Transmitted devices are specialized devices, used in modern medicine for the rapid and less invasive identification of causes of diseases in the cases that determine the life of the patient. Purchased equipment will increase the number of patient stations in the ward. "The Foundation's help is of great importance to our branch. It will enable us to fulfill our tasks in a more complete way, thus saving patients in life-threatening situations. We have repeatedly reported the need to purchase this equipment, but in view of the enormous need for hospital operations it was not possible, "says Włodzimierz Abramowicz, head of the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit at the Medical Center of Pabianice. Among the devices donated by the foundation are the cardiomonitors, the USG apparatus, as well as the bronchofiberoscope and the bronchoscope, which are devices that can diagnose and treat respiratory diseases. The ultrasound apparatus is used to look at the nerves, veins, arteries and internal organs and is used for rapid diagnosis in life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The equipment will also include cardiomonitors measuring heart rate, breathing, oxygen levels, carbon dioxide, cardiac performance, use in the intensive care unit for monitoring patients and their response to intensive and complex treatment. The intensive care unit is another project that the "We Love Pabianice" Foundation is implementing for the Pabianic Medical Center. In September 2016, the Foundation donated to the hospital a holm laser - a device worth PLN 135 thousand, used to treat various disorders of the urinary system. "Supporting the local community is the most important goal of the" We Love Pabianice "Foundation. and patient support is a key element of the Aflofarm mission. By supporting local medical facilities, we are able to combine these two objectives with the benefit of the Pabianice residents. What is important, this is the first project of the foundation, which we funded with the support of the city residents. In February we organized a charity ball, during which we managed to collect 50 thousand. PLN for the purchase of equipment for the hospital. We also received support directly from the pabianiczan who could not attend the ball and donate money directly to the foundation's account. We treat it as a recognition and we are proud of it, "says Andrzej Furman, founder of Aflofarm Farmacja Polska and president of My Kochamy Pabianice Foundation. Aflofarm Poland has been involved in social activities for many years. In 2016 the value of funds allocated to charity activities amounted to over 1 000 000 PLN. In 2017, the company established the Aflofarm Foundation, whose main goal is to promote prophylactic health and education of Poles in the field of medicine and pharmacy. For years, the company has also supported local health services. In 2016, in addition to the Pabianic Medical Center, the hospital also supported the Polish Mother's Health Center in the area of modernization of the Paediatrics, Immunology and Nephrology Clinic. "We love Pabianice" Foundation was founded on the initiative of Grażyna and Andrzej Furman, the founders of Aflofarm. Its mission is to serve and help meet the expectations of the city's inhabitants. The Foundation carries out projects aimed at nurturing green spaces in public places, helping to organize cultural events, preserving monuments and supporting sporting events. Since its inception, the foundation has completed nearly 100 projects, actively contributing to the development of Pabianice.
