Luminastil

Luminastil is OTC that contains 50 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride in each tablet. It is indicated for short-term use in incidents of sleeplessness in adult population. Sleeplessness manifests in poor sleep pattern, struggling with getting asleep, maintaining sleep and as superficial sleep. How to recognise signs of sleeplessness: the fall-asleep time takes longer than half an hour, the overall night awakening time is longer than half an hour, night awakenings continue for at least three nights in a week and poor sleep quality causes fatigue or diminishes psychophysical abilities during the day. Luminastil has been designed to work after just 15 minutes. With instant effect, Luminastil lasts for 6 hours to help you enjoy peaceful and sound sleep. Notably, Luminastil does not cause drowsiness after waking up so that you can kickstart your daytime activities with the right energy levels.

Active substance

Each tablet contains 50 mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride (Diphenhydramini hydrochloridum).

Indications

Short-term use in incidents of sleeplessness in adults.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity reaction to the active substance or to any of the excipients, scarring gastric ulcer, gastrointestinal obstruction (due to e.g. peptic ulcer), pheochromocytoma, acquired or congenital QT prolongation, known risk factors for QT prolongation, including diagnosed cardiovascular disease, significant electrolyte imbalance (hypokalaemia, hypomagnesemia), family history of sudden death from cardiac causes, significant bradycardia, concomitant use with other medicines known to prolong the QT interval and/or induce torsade de pointes.
